"I had the honor of working with Stefanie following a scheduled C-section thanks to a stubborn breech baby! From the start I knew I wanted to breastfeed but from the start it was a struggle. My stubborn breech baby turned into a stubborn nurser. He quickly lost weight due to a delayed milk supply from the C-section and PCOS! He was a very shallow sucker and gave up quickly. Stefanie was a life saver in teaching us both how to improve his latch and how to nurse as a team. She also helped him and I learn perfect positions that worked best for us. Above all, Stefanie was a wealth of support and encouragement both with breastfeeding and my negative emotions about the C-section! After 3 months of hard work and tons of support from Stefanie, I truly enjoy breastfeeding and can finally do it pain free!! "Stefanie Anderson has been a huge blessing to my husband and me as we prepared to welcome our little Gabriel into our family, but even more so, touched my heart as she answered my very desperate plea for help when significant breastfeeding problems arose days after his arrival. I reached out to her in an extremely overwhelmed and sleep-deprived state when my son was four days old and Stefanie made me and my family a priority over her own, agreeing to my distressed request to help me in my home as I struggled with latching my 'screaming at the top of his lungs' hungry baby. As a new mom, I quickly learned in those days how much it hurts to see your baby in misery and Stefanie validated that feeling when she did not think twice about coming to my home to help me that very same evening. Seeing her arrive at my front door was such a relief and the significant amount of time she spent with me is something that I will never, ever forget.

Even after that evening, I kept in contact via text with Stefanie and found her to 'lift me up' when the frustrations and struggles of all of this 'new mom stuff' seemed at times to be too much to handle. Stefanie has 'seen it all' and the Olympia community is not only so fortunate to have her wonderful birth services available, but even more so to have such a wonderful wholesome individual providing them.
